10 Insane Rumours For Upcoming Superhero Movies

In the summer of 2019, Marvel Studios confirmed that an MCU Blade movie was in the works, with the great Mahershala Ali set to replace Wesley Snipes as the iconic superhero.

Though Snipes wanted to play Blade himself, he later expressed his enthusiasm for the project and Ali's casting, while adding he'd love to play basically any part in the film.

This sparked speculation about the possibility of Snipes returning to play the antagonist of the new Blade movie - a senior vampire, perhaps even Dracula himself, who stands in Blade's way.

How Likely Is It?: Snipes definitely still has the charisma to play a major blockbuster villain, though his casting might also be a little too wink-wink for its own good, especially if Kevin Feige truly wants the Ali iteration of the character to stand on his own.

Then again, if Blade defeats Snipes' antagonist at the end, it would if nothing be a literal passing of the torch from one era to another.

Don't discount the possibility entirely, but given that Snipes himself recently claimed he has no involvement with the film and is also working on his own "Blade-killer" project, he's probably not going to be part of it.
