10 Insanely Dark Joker Moments That'll Never Make It To Film

6. The Joker Torments The Entire Bat Family - Death Of The Family

The recent Death of the Family arc really saw The Joker make a huge impact in a Bat book for the first time in a fair while. And what an impact it was. Having had his face cut off by Dollmaker and then gone AWOL for a year, The Joker returned to torment Batman in a huge way. As well as the usual fun and games that Joker brings with him, this time he also targeted pretty much anybody close to Batman. Jim Gordon was spiked with an extreme blood thinner that caused his body to drain itself of this vital fluid, faithful butler and confidant Alfred was attacked with a hammer before being infected with toxin, Nightwing€™s friend Jimmy Clark and ex-girlfriend Raya Vestri were killed - with Haley's Circus also targeted. Not only that, but Damian Wayne was forced to fight what he believed to be a toxin-riddled version of his father, Batgirl€™s mother was kidnapped and had her finger chopped off and Red Hood and Red Robin were kidnapped and tied together. Added to that, Joker even butts heads with Harley Quinn and Catwoman during this tale. If all of that wasn€™t traumatic enough, Batman would later wake up at a dinner table that had the Bat family tied up and sat around it. With their faces covered by bandages, The Joker made it look like he was about to have the infected Alfred serve them all their own severed faces. Appetising, no?
