10 Key Changes We Wish Recent Movies Had Made

5. Save Walker - Mission: Impossible - Fallout

The performance - or at least one hairy part of it - might have cost Justice League some credibility points, but Henry Cavill's turn as Agent Walker in Mission: Impossible - Fallout was a revelation. Away from Superman's boy scout sensibilities, he was meaner, arguably even more hulking and way more badass and crucially, he gave Ethan Hunt the formidable opponent he's lacked for a while.

Up until then, Hunt had been facing an organisation with interesting subordinates - he'd never really had someone of equal standing to fight and Walker turned up like his answer to Jaws (Bond, not fish). And like Jaws, he should have been allowed to return in another outing, particularly with two more MI movies announced from Christopher McQuarrie.

Walker was the kind of bad guy fans could really rally behind - far more than Sean Harris' Solomon Lane - and having him return with an even bigger chip on his shoulder would have been wonderful. Killing him off was a mistake that could easily have been avoided.
