10 Lesser Known Comics That NEED To Be Movies

Sex sells, according to promotional advertising. Sex definitely pays well for a select few in the comic Sex Criminals by Image. The series was created by Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky, both of which are now well established and acclaimed comic writers in their own rights.

According to Fraction, he suggested to Zdarsky "what if we do a sex comedy about a guy, who every time he ejaculates, stops time?". Apparently Zdarsky was tired from a business trip he was on, and agreed to the idea without much thought.

In the comic, Suzie and Jon have the ability to freeze time when they orgasm, which they discover after sleeping together. After going through each other's sexual histories and developing a relationship, they decide to use their powers to rob the bank where Jon works to save the library where Suzie works.

If only it was this simple. Turns out there is a police force in this universe to prevent this sort of thing from happening. So the couple goes on the run as a pair of Sex Criminals.

The comic was inspired by films such as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Bridesmaids, and Jackass: The Movie. It is time for Sex Criminals to join them on the big screen.

Adult comedies with a quirky concept often make very popular movies and if the comics reception is anything to go by, a Sex Criminals movie would be a big success.
