10 Maddening Horror Movie Plot Holes

8. The Photo Box - Get Out

High Tension Marie
Universal Pictures

Get Out might be a great film, but there's one scene that stands out as a poorly written moment in an otherwise immaculately-scripted film.

After a series of odd incidents, including a missing black man appearing at a party Rose's parents host, Daniel Kaluuya's Chris asks his girlfriend Rose if they can leave early and she agrees. While they are packing in Rose's bedroom, Chris goes into a back-room and finds a box full of photos of Rose with various other black ex-partners, despite her previously saying that Chris was her first black boyfriend), including the two black servants at the house, revealing she's hiding something.

Rose being a villain was a brilliant plot twist, but the way it's revealed makes no sense. Why would Rose leave evidence of her crimes lying around, especially by her bedroom where Chris could easily find it? What's equally illogical is that when he discovers the photos, Chris just goes downstairs with her as if nothing had happened - walking into his captivity - instead of challenging her.
