10 Major Challenges Terminator Genisys Faces

1. Just Not Sucking

That bush has been beaten around for long enough. The main challenge that faces Terminator: Genisys us just plain not sucking. Just not being terrible. Being an instant classic on the level of the original two is probably too much to hope for, but managing to clear the extremely low bar set by Rise Of The Machines and Salvation would be nice. It definitely has all the elements for at least a decent action movie, with that cast and Taylor in the director's seat - not to mention the involvement of Cameron and Schwarzenegger - but still, proceed with caution. After all, it has been a long time since a good Terminator film. And this fifth in the series has been in development hell for a long while, with the rights bouncing between studios for a good few years after the last film bombed, and countless screenwriters, filmmakers and actors joining and bowing out of the project as numerous concepts were considered. Who knows what the plot of Genisys is, whether Taylor will finally step up to the plate and become a director to watch, whether the explanation of Arnie's wrinkles will make sense. All audiences want is a Terminator film worth watching. Is that too much to ask?
