10 Major Problems With Zack Snyder’s Justice League
5. Cyborg’s Auto-Defence System Triggers The Fight With Superman
This scene is a problem in both versions of the Justice League, but is made worse in the Snyder Cut because it removes some important scenes from the original version.
After reviving Superman, all of the Justice League except Batman follow him to the Superman shrine. But before they can speak with him, Cyborg’s auto-defence identifies Superman as a threat and, against his will, Cyborg fires a rocket at Superman, starting a fight between him and the League.
The problem in both versions is that no member of the League tries to stop Cyborg from attacking Superman or immediately tries to apologise. It is as if the whole purpose of this scene was just to have Superman fight the League no matter what, and Cyborg’s auto-defence was just a means to making that happen.
But at least the original version of Justice League included scenes that introduced Cyborg’s auto-defence as a thing prior to Superman’s revival. In the Snyder Cut, these scenes are removed, meaning that the auto-defence comes out of nowhere and is never brought up again, even when it would have come in handy when Cyborg would later go on to fight Steppenwolf.
