10 Major Problems With Zack Snyder’s Justice League

2. The Flash Can Reverse Time With Zero Consequences

Justice League The Flash
Warner Bros.

The Flash gets his big payoff during the final battle against Steppenwolf where in order to save the world he enters the Speed Force, rewinds time, and gets to Cyborg in time to prevent The Unity from happening. The visuals and music during this scene are stunning, but the whole thing breaks the movie and The Flash as a character.

For some reason, The Flash mentions he has a rule against entering the Speed Force but does not explain what it is. It was assumed that it was because doing so can have serious consequences on the timeline or on The Flash himself. However the Snyder Cut has him entering the Speed Force without any consequences whatsoever.

By allowing The Flash to do this with no negative side effects, it means that entering the Speed Force does not cost him anything or prove anything about his character. It just means that The Flash can access a power that destroys all tension and stakes in the film. This problem could be tackled in the upcoming Flash film, but if it is not, then it will fail to address another major hole in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
