10 Marvel Characters Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Could Play In The MCU
4. Eros
Now that the Mad Titan has been defeated in the MCU, and the Infinity Saga has come to a close, the franchise is more free than ever to pursue different stories and new characters. That doesn’t mean that Thanos has to be forgotten about completely however.
With the Eternals and the Deviants set to be introduced in November, there are rumours that a young Thanos and his brother, Eros, may appear. While Thanos looked like he did (Grimace with a nutsack for a chin if you listen to Star Lord), he was the only one of his race to do so. The rest were very similar to humans, though his brother Eros was particularly perfect.
There is a rumour that Harry Styles has been cast in this particular role, but it is certainly something that The Rock could believably bring to life, despite not having the traditional comic look of the character. Imagine how amplified young Thanos’ insecurities about his physical appearance would be when constantly compared to a brother that looked like Dwayne Johnson.
This wouldn’t be the extent of Eros’ role in the MCU however, as he has been a superhero in his own right with the power to control other people’s emotions, even becoming an Avenger under the guise of Starfox. What better way to personify the balance Thanos spoke of than with a brother to the Mad Titan trying to rectify some of the damage he caused the universe?
