10 Marvel Characters Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Could Play In The MCU
3. Black Bolt
Much like Absorbing Man, the Inhumans have already been brought to life twice in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however, there is no doubting that they have not yet been done to justice. Agents of SHIELD featured the race heavily, but omitted the royal family, while ABC's Inhumans focused exclusively on Black Bolt and co., and it was one of the worst things Marvel have ever put to screen.
Ms. Marvel is an Inhuman in the comics, and though it hasn't yet been confirmed where her powers will come from in the MCU, the Inhumans deserve a real chance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe regardless, as they were supposed to in the original Phase Three plan.
The leader of the Inhuman royal family is the incredibly powerful Black Bolt, someone that The Rock could bring to life perfectly. The character doesn't speak, as when he does his voice produces shockwaves equal to that of a nuclear weapon's, so much of his character comes down to physicality.
There are few actors in Hollywood who could cut as intimidating a figure as Dwayne Johnson, and though his smouldering intensity was used to great comedic effect in the Jumanji franchise, it is something that he could genuinely put to good use in this MCU role.
