10 MCU Complaints That Make No Damn Sense

4. They Over-Stuff

The Argument

In the interest of distracting from how formulaic they are, Marvel are simply double-stuffing their casts and plots. Everything is beginning to look either like a team-up or a mini Avengers movie, and it's ruining balance in the interest of cheap thrills.

The Rebuttal

Yeah, because Captain America: Civil War suffered so much from bloat, didn't it?

Just because two Spider-Man sequels were killed by having too many villains doesn't mean aspiring to balance a lot of elements should be cast aside as an idea immediately.

The problem with over-stuffing is director restraint and failure to balance (just ask Zack Snyder or David Ayer). So far, the MCU has managed it almost faultlessly, with the Deleted Scenes proving how many tough decisions go into the final cut. And the film-makers have proved that they will leave out anticipated sequences or parr down characters when they aren't necessarily the most important element of the film.

That's why they don't need 183 minutes to make an "Ultimate Cut" that actually makes any sense.
