5. The Dark Avengers Will Be Seeded

While the apparent death of the MCU's third solo Spider-Man project spells the end of the possibility of Norman Osborn debuting under Marvel Studios any time soon, that doesn't necessarily mean that his most famous super-villain team can't still happen.

According to speculation from the likes of ScreenRant, there are some interesting characters coming in Phase 4 who could be used to set up the introduction of The Dark Avengers for a project beyond Phase 4. Black Widow obviously includes Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova and US Agent will debut in The Falcon & The Window Soldier. And then there's Ms Marvel, of course, who Kevin Feige says will be used in movies beyond her Disney+ show.

With Hawkeye already active (though possibly not for long) and Wolverine potentially coming in Phase 5, that's a healthy Dark Avengers line-up if they can replace Osborn. And this wouldn't be the first time we've heard rumblings of Kevin Feige wanting to bring in a villainous ensemble. Last we all heard, it was going to be the Thunderbolts, but this too would make just as much sense.
