1. Robert Downey Jr. - Less Than Zero & Home For The Holidays

It's a little weird to think that Robert Downey Jr - on whose charismatic shoulders the MCU was built - is the same actor who so publicly had problems with drugs for a good portion of his career. Rather infamously, he was fired from Ally McBeal after being arrested twice for cocaine possession (despite rescuing the viewing figures) at the lowest point of his addictions and it cost him other work too.

According to Ben Falk's 2014 biography, Robert Downey Jr.: The Fall and Rise of the Comeback Kid, RDJ's drug use wasn't limited to his down-time either. He claims that he smoked heroin throughout the Home For The Holidays shoot.

Downey Jr himself told The Guardian that it started much earlier than that on the set of 1987 movie Less Than Zero:

"Until that movie, I took my drugs after work and on the weekends. Maybe I'd turn up hungover on the set, but no more so than the stuntman. That changed on Less Than Zero."
