10 More Behind The Scenes Reasons For MCU Characters' Quirks

1. Peter Parker's Haircut

Peter Parker is a nerd. Everyone knows it, as it’s kind of his whole deal. He is a loser who gets bullied by Flash Thompson, was an outcast at school, and was absolutely the last person you would expect to be the face behind a superhero mask. Peter’s entire aesthetic was essentially built around this, from the nerdy t-shirts all the way to his hairstyle.

Would it have made sense for someone like Peter to have an expensive trim rather than essentially letting it do whatever it was going to do? Think of him like Harry Potter, with lovable scruffy, if not particularly good hair.

This was the case when Peter Parker first joined the MCU at least, however since then Tom Holland has grown into one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, and by the time No Way Home rolled around, he felt confident enough to put his foot down on the issue of Peter’s hair.

After portraying Nathan Drake in Uncharted, Holland sported a very stylish haircut, not exactly what you’d typically expect from Peter. However, as explained by Holland himself, after trying on the wig provided for him on his MCU return, he rejected the idea and instead demanded that he keep his Nate Drake style. It may have been slightly out of character, but there are worse things he could have demanded.
