10 More Horror Movies With The Worst Monster Reveal

1. Jellyfish Monster - Sting Of Death

Jellyfish are among the most feared animals on Earth, and with good reason. They look creepy, sting like hell, and are potentially lethal. For these reasons, a horror flick revolving around a jellyfish monster should have a lot of potential.

However, Sting of Death well and truly botched that idea. In this 1966 creature feature, a deformed biologist is spurned by a woman, compelling him to transform himself into a jellyfish monster.

At least... it's supposed to be a monster. If it wasn't mentioned, viewers would believe this creature is a man wearing a wetsuit and a trash bag on his head. Creases are visible around the arms and knees, indicating this "monster" is just a guy wearing a costume.

Still, the most laughable aspect is the flippers. Rather than making the Jellyfish Monster's feet resemble tentacles, he wears ordinary swimfins. What's worse is the actor's heels and ankles are clearly visible on every close-up of the flippers. (Couldn't the filmmakers paint his feet black or give the actor socks so they blended in with his costume?)

In hindsight, the only impressive thing about Sting of Death is how the actors got through every scene involving the Jellyfish Monster without laughing hysterically.
