10 More Scrapped Movie Scenes Better Than What We Got

The first time Kylo Ren comes into contact with his legendary father Han Solo during Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is one of the most powerful and emotionally charged moments of the entire Star Wars sequel trilogy.

However, the time leading up to that dramatic conversation on a Starkiller bridge could have been stuffed with even more glorious tension had J. J. Abrams and the gang opted to keep an earlier and rather gripping Millennium Falcon moment in the film.

This scrapped sequence sees the fallen Ben Solo entering his father's iconic ship and searching it on the snowy base. Everything from the way Ren slowly takes in the spacecraft that belongs to his estranged pops, to the moment he ominously utters the name "Han Solo" instead of "dad", gives the pair's fractured relationship even more screen time, adding that little more weight to their eventual meeting.

It was likely a case of just trying to shave off the odd minute here and there that led to this intriguing moment being deleted. But there's no denying that this additional minute of Ren on the Falcon only enhances the drama that follows.
