As far as background figures go in the worlds of Star Wars, there aren't many quite as adored as the blue Jizz-wailer known as Max Rebo.

Bobbing along and unleashing musical brilliance on his Red Ball Jett organ within Jabba the Hutt's palace during Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, the character ultimately became something of a cult favourite.

But what you may not have realised and may struggle to believe after all these years of Rebo worship is that this little elephant-looking Ortolan wasn't actually using his real name when performing in the Max Rebo Band.

Nope, that moniker was simply his stage name - in Legends continuity, at least.

Whereas in Canon the musician goes by the name of Maximilian "Max" Rebo, in Legends he was actually born Siiruulian Phantele, with the talented musician opting for the name change after being discovered in his younger years by Evar Orbus.

Want another unexpected Rebo detail? Of course you do.

In Legends, it turns out that the ever-hungry Rebo actually also agreed to a deal which required the Max Rebo Band to play their music in Jabba's palace for life. And how were Max and his brassed off bandmates paid? With unlimited food and drink, obviously.

Doesn't sound like a bad gig, actually.
