In case it wasn't clear already, Darth Vader doesn't boast the greatest sense of humour.

But if you really needed a surreal reminder of just how bad things could get for those who opted to make the former Anakin Skywalker the butt of a joke, then look no further than that time a song poking fun at the Sith Lord pretty much got a band a death sentence.

Said political song went by the name of 'Vader's Many Prosthetic Parts' and was performed by Hakko Drazlip and the Tootle Froots, with it being released around ten years prior to the Battle of Yavin. But when the Empire learned of the tune, it wasn't long before it was banned and the group were sent to the Kessel spice mines.

The average life expectancy of a soul sent out to that place was about one to two years. Which meant that by the time Nakari Kelen told Luke Skywalker in the Heir to the Jedi novel about the events which involved her mother - who was part of the band and wrote the song - the group were pretty much expected to have perished.

So, not only is there actually a banned song within Star Wars Canon mocking Vader, but it also shockingly led to the demise of a bunch of Tootle Froots.
