8. Peter to Molly & Block - Final Destination 5
As expected, Final Destination 5 opens with a group of people narrowly cheating death, incurring the wrath of The Grim Reaper. Among the survivors are Sam, his ex, Molly, his boss, Peter, and an FBI agent, Block. After speaking to the mortician, William Bludworth (played by the late Tony Todd), they learn that Death is coming for them in order to "balance the scales".
Though the film follows the franchise's formula to a tee, it adds an intriguing new rule - Sam's party can slip off Death's radar if somebody else dies in their place.
While they scramble for a loophole that doesn't involve murder, Peter snaps after his girlfriend dies horribly. Terrified he'll suffer the same fate, Peter tries to off Molly, hoping to steal her remaining lifespan.
To be fair, Peter doesn't read as a villain at first, since his behaviour stems from self-preservation.
But after killing Block, Peter tries to execute Molly anyway, underscoring how deranged he's become. Although Peter believes his actions are justified, he threw his friends under the bus at the first chance he got.
