4. Admiral Ackbar's Sudden Death Is Instantly Forgotten - Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

Moving from those strange Star Wars moments that fans have buried deep down, to those times the figures within the galaxy far, far away seemed to suddenly forget rather absurd occurrences, The Last Jedi saw the fall of one of the most respected Rebel fighters of all time.

The great Admiral Gial Ackbar was blown to bits within the first half an hour of The Last Jedi. However, after years of loyal service and acting as one of the most reliable leaders in Star Wars history, how did the Resistance honour the legendary Mon Calamari? By simply noting that he wasn't as lucky as Leia Organa when some torpedoes collided with the heroes' cruiser and swiftly moving on.

From there on out, Ackbar's ludicrously sudden demise is all but forgotten in the aftermath as the Resistance spend about two seconds mourning their fallen ally before getting on with their lives and never mentioning the war veteran again.

And it's safe to say that both fans and the people behind the portrayal of the mighty Admiral, voice actor Tom Kane and Ackbar physical performer Tim Rose, weren't exactly happy with Rian Johnson's peculiar handling of the icon's shocking death...
