10 Most Annoying Animated Movie Characters
1. Gurgi - The Black Cauldron
The Black Cauldron is often known as the film that almost killed Disney. It was a big financial flop and such a dark film that many children were too scared to watch it. The company tried to let it fade into obscurity, but those who saw it and enjoyed it have worked hard to make sure it isn't forgotten. This is great as the film is wonderfully gothic and fun. But one thing no-one would miss is the presence of this character.
Gurgi can be described as a woodland troll creature. His voice is supplied by John Byner and is utterly unbearable. We have heard annoying voices before, but none of them are as consistently present in the film as his. He talks all the time and continues with this whiney and weird tone that is always irritating.
Additionally, the character never stops moving. He is so full of energy but completely drains it from you as an audience member. When it comes time to part with him, the producers want you to feel sad, but you end up incredibly relieved.
He is an awfully annoying presence in an otherwise fun film.
