6. Halloween Ends

The Black Phone
Universal

Release Date - October 14th

In the 2018 version of Halloween, Laurie Strode faced off against the serial killer, Michael Myers, who had haunted her memories since he went on a murder spree in her hometown 40 years ago. The writers, David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, always saw the film as the first of a trilogy, which served as the final confrontation between Laurie and her tormentor.

So, after 2018's Halloween received glowing reviews and earned a quarter of a billion dollars at the box office, the studio officially greenlit the sequels. Halloween Kills was released in 2021 and Halloween Ends will premier this year. Even though Halloween Kills failed to receive the same praise as its predecessor, fans are still excited to check out the final entry.

Despite the title, it's safe to assume this will not be the last we see of Michael Myers, especially if Halloween Ends makes a profit. But since this is the last film in the series to have involvement from Jamie Lee Curtis or the creator, John Carptenter, it feels like the end of an era.
