Being perfectly honest, Longlegs had this writer at "Nicolas Cage as a serial killer being hunted by the FBI". Throw in genre favourites Maika Monroe, Kiernan Shipka, and Alicia Witt, from writer/director Oz Perkins, and you have an extremely intriguing beast. Added to that, the unsettling initial trailer for Longlegs absolutely amped excitement levels up to 11 when it arrived earlier this month.

Opposite Cage's murderous sort - known as simply Longlegs - Monroe plays FBI Agent Lee Harker as she desperately tries to track down this rogue and put a stop to his chaos and carnage. Throw in a dollop of the spooky occult and a slice of personal connection between Harker and Longlegs, and this is a horror movie shaping up to be one of 2024's best.

Of course, a great trailer, a great concept, and a great cast and crew doesn't always result in a great film, but everything is certainly in place to drum up some major excitement around Longlegs. Now, it's just a case of Longlegs delivering the goods and living up to the hype, which is no easy feat.
