3. Lincoln
Steven Spielberg is making a Lincoln movie with Daniel Day-Lewis as Lincoln. But wait, there's more! This boasts arguably the best cast of any film this year. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, David Straithairn, James Spader, Jackie Earle Haley, Walton Goggins, Sally Field, Tim Blake Nelson, John Hawkes, Jared Harris, Hal Holbrook, David Costabile, and every other great actor working today have roles in it. And then there's the whole "Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln" thing. If this isn't one of your most anticipated films for that reason alone, then you have a problem. Oh, and it's Spielberg. 'Nuff said. Lincoln will be released in theaters on November 9th.
