10 Most Chilling Star Trek Moments

6. Welcome To The Bridge

Star Trek Deadlock
CBS

Star Trek: Voyager had plenty of examples where they remained true to the show's original premise - that of a ship lost, far from home, struggling to survive. While there certainly could have been a deeper exploration of the struggles between the two crews, rarely did the show take that as literally as the second season episode Deadlock.

Here, the ship is duplicated, with one variation being rocked by devastating pulses, crippling much of the vessel. Both Harry Kim, and Naomi Wildman, perish on that vessel, while the other version of Voyager remains in pristine condition.

Then, the Vidiians arrive to spoil everyone's day.

They are only able to detect the intact Voyager, and quickly overpower much of the ship. Sensing no alternative, Janeway sets the ship to self-destruct, but not before sending their Kim and Wildman over to the other ship. The Vidiians reach the bridge, ready to steal the organs of all present, only for Janeway to calmly stand, and warmly welcome them to the bridge.

Seconds later, the ship erupts in a massive explosion, destroying both Voyager, and the Vidiian ship above. The remaining vessel survives, and Harry Kim learns that day that 'weird is part of the job'.
