10 Most Insulting Movie Remakes Of All Time
6. A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)
The whole point of a horror movie is to make people jump. Therefore, it doesn't quite work when the audience already knows when the jump is going to happen.
This is why remaking horror films just don't work. The majority of the audience knows the plotline, they know the scary moments, and they know who the bad guy is. Scaring people doesn't have the same effect the second time around.
Furthermore, Wes Craven's, A Nightmare on Elm Street, has to be one of the best horror flicks around, so it was inevitable that the remake was going to suck.
And guess what? It did!
Michael Bay's reboot was as scary as a romantic comedy on Valentine's Day. And don't even mention the rejuvinated Freddy. It really was that bad.
