Following a series of unfortunate events, Woody and Buzz end up inside Sid’s bedroom, a creepy, den-like room where Sid performs surgical experiments on his toys.

As soon as Sid is out of the way, Woody attempts to leave, but he soon discovers he’s locked inside. Then, out of the shadows, the toys start to emerge, and this child-friendly story quickly turns into a nightmare.

The creepiest part of this scene will always be the baby head. This crawling, one-eyed monster moves towards Woody and rises up like something out of a horror movie, and the whole thing is made much worse by the eerie sound effects.

The other toys – all of whom have been surgically altered by Sid – then enter the fray, and Woody scrambles back up to the bed, traumatised by what he’s just witnessed and convinced the toys are a pack of cannibals.

As it turns out, Sid’s creations aren’t cannibals at all, and they even help our heroes escape later on. But given how terrifying they look, you can hardly blame Woody for cowering in fear when he first meets them.
