5. The Garden Zombies (Shaun Of The Dead)
The first zombies in Shaun of the Dead that Shaun and Ed actually realise are zombies are the two garden zombies. After having walked to the shop on the morning, where Shaun encountered several zombies in passing but didn't realise that they were indeed zombies, he arrives back home where Ed informs him that there is a girl in the garden. Upon investigation of the scene, the pair initially think that she is drunk, but it soon becomes apparent that she's undead when she attacks them (prompting Ed to get a camera for the photo opportunity in the first instance) and is impaled on a rod but doesn't die. A large, fat, male zombie then appears, prompting Shaun and Ed to attack the pair - first with a basket full of random household objects (toasters, cutlery, plates etc), then with Shaun's vinyl record collection and finally with some proper hardware from the garden shed.
