4. The Buckner Clan (Cabin In The Woods)

In my humble opinion, Cabin in the Woods is an awesome film with a terrific concept. It follows the story of five friends who travel to a remote cabin for a holiday and become victims of a seemingly stereotypical horror movie plot - all while being observed, via hidden cameras, by mysterious office staff who are working for an organisation known simply as "The Facility" who are responsible for a yearly ritual which keeps a group of subterranean gods called The Ancient Ones appeased. The ritual involves the killing of five individuals who trigger a scenario with their own actions, which results in a particular horror stereotype attacking them. In the case of the movie, the particular horror stereotype that they trigger is the Buckner family - a zombified family of rednecks who, in life, enjoyed torturing themselves, each other and anyone passing their cabin.
