4. Captain America Dies

The Civil War comic ends with Captain America behind bars after he realises the damage that the fight between the heroes is doing and surrenders. Captain America #25 however saw Crossbones gun him down at a courthouse, and while it's unknown how much of what's described here will be in the movie, Crossbones apparently kills Steve Rogers. That's going to lead to a major status quo shift and leaves the Marvel Cinematic Universe - and The Avengers - without a leader. However, it appears as if Cap's demise will lead to the formation of a group of New Avengers who operate outside the law, and one report indicates that the man leading them will be the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange.
