3. Producer Simon Kinberg Had Josh Trank Fired From Star Wars
You might think that those rumoured issues with Josh Trank behind the scenes weren't really a big deal, and it's fair to say that even if true, they won't necessarily impact the quality of the movie. However, his behaviour on the set of Fantastic Four was apparently more than enough to result in the young filmmaker actually being fired by Disney and Lucasfilm. When Trank didn't show up at Star Wars Celebration to talk about his Star Wars Anthology movie (rumoured to focus on Boba Fett), the excuse was given that he was ill with flu. At that point though, the parting of ways had already happened, and Fantastic Four writer and producer Simon Kinberg has been blamed. Because he was "indecisive and uncommunicative", the Star Wars producer made his displeasure with Trank clear to Kathleen Kennedy and the rest of the team at Lucasfilm, and they decided putting this movie in his hands would be a huge mistake based on his behaviour and working style. True or not, it still feels like they may have made a mistake.
