Want someone to blame for there no longer being any Fantastic Four comic books on shelves? Well, that would be 20th Century Fox. It sounds like Marvel aren't happy about this movie existing, especially when they were so close to the rights reverting to them before it hurriedly moved into production last year. Marvel's CEO is apparently the one who ordered the Fantastic Four comic be cancelled in a bid to hurt this movie's chances of success. Meanwhile, merchandise deals the company has with various manufacturers have been altered so that they don't make any toys or games featuring the team, so don't expect to find any Thing action figures this summer. This may seem petty on the surface, but Marvel are basically prioritising the characters they do own and can make the maximum profit from. That's why each member of the Guardians Of The Galaxy has a solo series, while there's no room for a single title starring the Fantastic Four. Chances are that this is one outlandish rumour you can be 100% sure is true.
