Since Bond has been one of the most popular brands for over half a century, it's no surprise the films have had their fair share of cameos. Madonna appeared as a fencing instructor in Die Another Day. Minnie Driver cameos as Valentin's terrible singer in GoldenEye. And in Casino Royale, eagle-eyed viewers spotted the Virgin founder, Richard Branson, popping up in the airport scene.

In the shot, Branson walks through a metal detector but is then taken out to be inspected by a staff member. However, you only see his face for a split-second so many viewers weren't sure if it was actually him. Why would the billionaire entrepreneur show up in Bond?

And the answer is - money. To save some cash, the director, Martin Campbell, asked Branson if he could provide one of his planes for the film. Being a life-long fan of the franchise, Branson agreed if he and his son could cameo in the film, which Campbell agreed to.

According to the producer, Barbara Broccoli, "He had a lot of fun and he was a trooper and it was a long night."
