3. Someone Behind You
You know what they say about curses right? Keep it in the family. Moving on from body horror now we have this psychological horror from South Korea. Originally based on a South Korean comic called ‘It’s Two People’, this film follows a young woman named Kim Ga-In as she tries to escape what seems to be a family curse.
Ga-in and her family visit her aunt (Jee-sun) to celebrate her wedding, but before she can walk down the aisle she is pushed from a balcony in an obvious attempt to murder her. When the fall doesn’t kill her, however, Ga-in later sees Jee-sun’s younger sister stab her to death in hospital.
As if it wasn’t traumatic enough seeing her aunt murdered, Ga-in appears to be the next target of the curse. It possesses people, causing them to murder other’s in fits of rage and hallucinations bought on by the curse. Now with a target on her back, Ga-in has to find out the meaning of the curse and how to avoid her death as it creeps ever-closer.
