7. Don't Hang Up

This list features influencers, travel vloggers, sham priests, and people who just ultimately live way too much of their life online - and then there’s the a**hats from Don’t Hang Up.

Receiving a short theatrical release in 2017, the opening ten minutes of Don’t Hang Up have you rooting for extremely awful things to happen to our central characters. You see, those characters are four online pranksters, as immediately highlighted by a phone call where they pretend to be cops and warn a frightened mother of some intruders in her basement; intruders who are going after the poor woman’s young daughter.

After that, we see Sam and Brady - two of that foursome - drinking beer and ringing strangers to, amongst other ‘hilarious’ things, inform them their wife has been in a fatal car crash, their teenage daughter is pregnant, or that their significant other is having an affair. And then they make a prank call to a fella known as Mr. Lee.

Mr. Lee is tired of this sort of d**khead jock behaviour and promises that Sam and Brady will soon get some comeuppance. With that, Lee keeps calling the two throughout the rest of the night, delivering nuggets of information with each new call - ranging from Sam and Brady’s addresses, to their loved ones being held hostage, to murky secrets about the two.

Even better, Don’t Hang Up has a belting reveal at its close, and yes, it’s truly glorious to see such obnoxious characters put through the wringer.
