10 Most Underrated Star Wars Characters Ever

9. Lobot

Spare a thought for Lobot. The ever-silent android that followed Lando Calrissian around the floors of Cloud City, Lobot was the man Bespin's favourite governor turned to when the going got tough in The Empire Strikes Back.

Following Han Solo's carbonite freezing, Lando gave the order to Lobot to hook himself into Cloud City's security mainframe and organise his guards into an ambitious counter-flank that would eventually allow Lando, Chewie, R2, C-3PO and Luke Skywalker to escape from the garrisoned Imperial forces. Lobot's fate however wasn't even left in the final cut of the film, with his capture by a set of Stormtroopers being demoted to just a deleted scene available on the bonus features of certain Empire Strikes Back releases.

It gets even harsher for Lobot though. Originally, the character was meant to have quite a few lines to reel off to Lando, Vader and the Cloud City visitors, but the first release of the film not only cut out all of his dialogue, but George Lucas didn't even give him a name, referring to him simply as 'Lando's Aide' in the closing credits.
