10 Most Unintentionally Annoying Characters In Modern Film

10. Spirit €“ The Spirit

Why You€™re Supposed to Like Him: He€™s the ghost-like defender of a crime and corruption ridden city, whose sole mission is to protect the innocent for harm. Sound familiar? You€™re supposed to like The Spirit for the same reason you like Batman €“ he€™s a symbol of justice for a city that most needs it. It€™s a romantic idea, and its worked well on more than one occasion, but not here unfortunately. Why He€™s Annoying: The problem is, the ironically named €˜The Spirit€™ is absolutely bereft of just that; of spirit, of soul, of emotional resonance. Despite being written and directed by bona-fide comic book legend Frank Miller, it€™s clear that his talents translate better on the page. Gabriel Macht€™s attempt at The Spirit is flat, excruciatingly boring at times and over-acted? You€™d find less ham in a delicatessen.
