10 Most Useless MCU Villains So Far
1. The Black Order
Back when Thanos first began his Infinity Quest, he did little more than sit in his chair on Sanctuary and dish out orders. He commanded Loki to bring him the Tesseract, and at various points instructed Ronan, Gamora, and Nebula to get him the Orb.
Even after announcing that he would do it himself, decimating Xandar for the Power Stone and killing Loki for the Space Stone, he used his children. The Black Order were sent to procure the Mad Titan the two Stones on Earth while he himself went after the Reality Stone on Knowhere.
Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian were sent to New York after the Time Stone, while Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive headed to Scotland for the Mind Stone from Vision’s forehead. They were all unsuccessful, as Thanos ultimately still had to retrieve these stones himself.
Throughout Infinity War, whether on a spaceship trying to pry the Time Stone from its case or in Wakanda, all four of the Black Order died before successfully completing their mission. Surely they did something previously to earn the status of one of Thanos’ children, but when he really needed them they all let him down.
