10 Movie Characters Brought Back From The Dead In The Worst Way

Michael Myers isn't the only horror legend on this list, as he is joined by the face/mask of Friday the 13th, Jason Voorhees.

There are more similarities between Myers and Voorhees than just the masks and the decline in film quality. Like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees has been killed off on numerous occasions, and like the Halloween franchise, Friday the 13th moved away from its key character only to ultimately bring him back to life.

Jason was killed off in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, before the next film focused on something of a copycat killer. By the time the aptly titled Jason Lives came around, Jason's killer, Tommy (Thom Mathews), was still haunted by the past and attempted to exorcise his demons by digging up Jason's corpse and cremating him.

Of course, things aren't that simple, and in a scene so ridiculous that it borders on the insane, Jason was brought back to life by lightning striking him just as Tommy hit him with a metal pole. Not only did he return from the dead, but he did so complete with new superhuman strength that was silly even by Friday the 13th's standards.
