10 Movie Characters Who Ruined EVERYTHING
6. Frank Johnson - The Return of the Living Dead
A horde of zombies are unleashed upon the city of Louisville, Kentucky in The Return of the Living Dead all because warehouse foreman Frank Johnson (James Karen) decided to show off a little.
At the start of the movie, Frank shows his new employee Freddy (Thom Mathews) some military drums containing the toxic gas trioxin, and to prove that they're safe even bangs one on the side.
However, this instantly ruptures the drum, causing trioxin to leak out and reanimate a dead body stored nearby, kicking off a series of events which cause the city to become overrun with a seemingly unstoppable fleet of brain-hungry zombies.
Even accepting that the trioxin drum was probably a ticking time bomb and going to be broken open eventually, Frank's reckless "stress test" is what immediately caused the undead takeover and led to the city being nuked at the end of the movie.
We like you, Frank, but this was just plain idiotic.
