10 Movie Characters You Didn't Realise Actually Survived

3. Skeletor - Masters Of The Universe

Batman Forever Two Face
Cannon Films

Nobody could ever blame you for turning off Masters of the Universe the second it ended - if not before, honestly.

The famously naff live-action He-Man adaptation is a classically cornball offering from Cannon Films, with its catastrophic commercial failure even hastening the studio's demise.

Nevertheless, even critics who loathed the film had kind words for Frank Langella, whose spirited performance as the villainous Skeletor is its easy - and perhaps only - high point.

Still, Skeletor is presumed dead at movie's end after He-Man (Dolph Lundgren) sends him tumbling hundreds of feet into a pit.

Yet anyone who actually stuck around past the credits - God help them - would be treated to a seconds-long stinger, where Skeletor emerges out of the water and threatens the audience, "I'll be back!"

Unsurprisingly Skeletor didn't come back, though at least Langella, who only took the role for the sake of his 4-year-old son, still considers the part one of his all-time favourites.
