3. Blofeld Is Bond's Brother - Spectre

Coming off the back of the highly acclaimed Skyfall, 2015's entry in the James Bond franchise, Spectre, had a lot of hype behind it. Unfortunately, that hype was too strong, and pushed the entire movie off a cliff.

Spectre is particularly rubbish, with its convoluted plot, poor performances, and lack of originality. Oh, and the fact that it made Blofeld James Bond's brother for absolutely no reason.

Whilst torturing 007, Franz Oberhauser (Blofeld's alias) reveals that his father became Bond's guardian after the death of his parents. Now, the series has played fast and loose with the secret agent's history before - he's had six different faces, for goodness' sake - but making him brothers with his greatest enemy? That was a bit far.

What's more, this revelation led to precisely nothing. It's not really brought up during the rest of Spectre and, outside of Blofeld calling Bond "brother" in No Time To Die, it doesn't play into that film either.

It's clear that this plot point was nothing more than a marketing ploy, a cheap bit of sensationalism to get people discussing Spectre. Now, with these versions of Bond and Blofeld both dead, there's no chance of wrapping up this ugly loose end.
