4. Mr Bean - Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie/Mr Bean's Holiday
Why Is He An Idiot? Mr Bean, the best of Rowan Atkinson's disastrously delightful dimwit characters, is also his longest serving one. Over the course of his TV series, the tweed jacketed Mr Bean managed to find the most absurd solutions to the daily tasks he finds so difficult. But when it came to his movie outings, the stakes were raised. Whether he is ruining the most expensive painting in the world or trying to reunite a boy with his father, Bean continues to handle every situation with the most implausible methods, but it is on this scale that it really hits the funny bone.you realize that Bean is the world's smartest idiot.
Top Idiotic Moment - It's a tie! While waiting innocently at a red light, a biker pulls up beside the hapless hero. Greeting the stranger with a friendly hello, Bean is soon flipped off in response. He spends most of the rest of the film repeating the one finger salute to anyone and everyone that he is bidding farewell to, including the friendly family he has spent weeks staying with. Several years later, during his holiday in France, Bean finds himself luggage-less and stuck with a French boy, in desperate need of money to reach Cannes. What follows is a brilliantly bizarre series of dance routines in his efforts to beg for money, followed by a silent dramatic scene that really does need to be seen to be believed.
How He Saved the Day After destroying the world's most expensive painting on the eve of its grand unveiling, Bean drugs a security guard with laxatives, dodges laser wires and replaces the broken painting with a poster covered in gloss. In France, he manages to reunite the boy with his father, take a bow at the Cannes film festival and manages to get to the beach, his goal all along. All that from a raffle ticket he almost read upside down, back in gloomy old England. Yet Bean somehow makes even the rainiest of places shine; in a way making him save the day in the grandest manner of the entire list.
