10 Movie Roles Actors Wish They'd Never Accepted
4. Halle Berry As Catwoman
Sticking with the Batman theme, one of the most shameful entries on Halle Berry's CV is undoubtedly her starring turn in 2004's Catwoman. Berry has defended her decision to appear in the film, saying she made a lot of cash and met some interesting people during production, but no actor could ever be proud of such a travesty.
With exceptionally low review scores and several Razzie nominations, including one for Berry for Worst Actress, Pitof's film was an unmitigated disaster and kept the character of Catwoman off cinema screens until Anne Hathaway claimed the role in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.
In a word, Catwoman was abysmal. The dialogue was embarrassing and the plot was pathetic, with the word 'performance' almost seeming too kind for Berry, who had won a Best Actress Oscar just two years prior. To her credit, Berry had the guts to turn up at the Razzies ceremony to accept her award and admitted that the film was "awful".
