3. Lando Talks To Jannah - Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker ends with an epic celebration as the heroes toast the defeat of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) and the Final Order, but one specific interaction immediately left fans debating what the hell J.J. Abrams' intentions were.

Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams) is approached by one of the movie's new characters, resistance fighter Jannah (Naomi Ackie), at which point Lando asks where she's from, and she replies that she doesn't know.

Lando then turns to Jannah and says, "Well, let's find out," with Abrams lingering on Jannah's expression as it changes to a seemingly meaningful smile.

Immediately following the film's release, though, fans argued over the precise meaning of this interaction.

Some understandably felt that Abrams was implying Lando could be Jannah's father, or that in the very least he could act in a fatherly capacity towards her, while others hilariously believed he might've actually been hitting on her.

In fact, there was enough online scuttlebutt about Lando possibly flirting with Jannah that one of the film's editors, Maryann Brandon, even went on the record to say that no, Lando categorically wasn't pursuing the much-younger Jannah romantically.

All the same, the fact that so many fans were confused about the matter at all suggests that, editorially, the scene could've been clearer about its intent.
