10 Movie Sequels Fans Still Demand

1. Dredd 2

Dredd isn't only one of the best comic-book movies of all time, it's a bona-fide action masterpiece, coming at a time where watered down PG-13 shaky-cam Hollywood blockbusters were all the rage.

Isolating all the action to one futuristic tower block (a formula which also worked wonders for The Raid), writer Alex Garland created a genius reason to make the violence as indulgent and bombastic as possible: the characters are addicted to a drug that makes them perceive the world in bullet-time slow-mo.

It did well with critics but unfortunately was a box-office flop, stopping the potential franchise directly in its tracks. Both the filmmakers and the fans realised how special the flick was though, and there were on-and-off talks for years about a sequel, with official petitions being started to get the movie made.

They didn't exactly work, but a TV series with Karl Urban back as the lead (without Alex Garland writing, however) is allegedly in the works - but we'll believe it when we see it.
