10 Movie Sequels You Forgot Were Coming In 2020
7. Candyman
Horror fans should be very excited at the prospect of this follow up to the classic 1992 slasher.
Scheduled for release on the June 12, this new instalment in the Candyman horror-franchise is a direct sequel to the original and will feature the returning hook-handed bogeyman's original actor, Tony Todd.
Rumours about the film being developed first begun circulating in 2017 courtesy of current modern horror specialist Jordan Peele taking an interest in reviving the character. The new film is both written, and produced by Peele, which after his excellent work on both Get Out and Us, is exciting news indeed.
Aquaman and Watchmen star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to lead the new film as an artist who begins investigating the legend of the Candyman, but thanks to Peele's involvement and Todd's return this surely has to be a guaranteed winner already.
Just don't look in the mirror and repeat Candyman three times before then and you might yet manage to live to see it.
