10 Movie Villains Impossible To Take Seriously

5. Profion (Dungeons & Dragons)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jL89_pxgQtY Jeremy Irons' performance as the evil Profion in Dungeons and Dragons is a veritable workshop in hammy acting; clearly aware that he's taking a paycheque role in a terrible film, Irons just tries to have fun with it, and actually delivers the sole aspect of entertainment value in an otherwise dreadfully misguided film. Though the plot is absolutely forgettable, Irons' wailings of "Let the blood rain down from the sky!" stick in the mind for years after a viewing, which is more than can be said for the performances by Justin Whalin, Marlon Wayans and Thora Birch, all of whom take things way too seriously. Irons ends up munching so much of the scenery that it's amazing there was any left to shoot. He may be impossible to take seriously, but he's the best thing about this horrible film.
