10 Movie Villains With Motives We Can Relate To

4. Michael Corleone €“ The Godfather

A returning war hero and family man. What more could a father want from their youngest son? And he looks like Al Pacino. All Vito Corleone wants is someone to run the family business. A business of export, import and protecting local people. It is a business built on family and respect. If only all companies were like this. Michael does his best. He really does. When his brother, Sonny, is murdered, Michael takes over the business and doesn€™t let his cold, cold heart get broken. Even when other companies act aggressively, Michael tries to talk to them and, being the brilliant negotiator he is, agrees to peace with the other families and withdraws his opposition to the heroin business that€™s started. So, he even helps small start-up businesses get a foot up too. Finally, Michael, like any good business leader, realises that some murders, sorry, mergers (thank you Patrick Bateman) and acquisitions are needed so takes over the other families by getting assassins to murder the other heads. He doesn€™t do it himself though and there€™s no proof he had anything to do with it. Primarily because other people start disappearing too but, hey, that€™s not Michael€™s fault. He€™s too busy taking an oath to run the company well as The Godfather. Michael Corleone. Runs a large company. Helps small businesses. Protects his employees. What a model boss should be like.
