8. The Fashion Industry - Zoolander

Zoolander is the age old tale of a fashion icon who is brainwashed into becoming an assassin. It sees comedy, romance and action brought together in harmony. With Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson still on top form and even an unforgettable cameo by the one and only David Bowie, there's not much you can pick fault with.

Although it perpetuates the stereotype that models are all looks and no brains, Zoolander never came across as mean-spirited and is an undeniably funny film. The only people who don't come out unscathed are the fashion industry moguls who are presented as dastardly villains. While there is a lot of dark truth hidden under the film's humour, it's all fine because the good guys triumph in the end and the day is saved.

Or it would be if we choose to forget about the rest of the evil fashion moguls who are left to freely continue their nefarious practices. Jacobim Mugatu may have been arrested but he's not even the big fish, there are clearly more evil people pulling his strings and who knows many more behind them? When you think about it, it's really quite a sinister conclusion for a wacky Ben Stiller comedy.
